Thanksgiving in Maryland was great. We ate food until we couldn't move, then we napped. Then we spent time in the hot tub. Did you spend time in the hot tub? I thought not. We put up Christmas decorations and the Christmas tree today. Mr. and Mrs. Jones did a fantastic job on the tree, and the house looks very festive. We have tons of food to take back to SC, and we come back to Clemson late tomorrow night. Jasmine and Honey shopped 'til they dropped, and they bought out the stores. I talked to Dad and Crystal yesterday. Both are doing well. Crystal told me Joan's birthay was last week. Happy Birthday!!!!
Time for bed. Hope everyone's holiday was as great as mine. Thank you to Mr. and Mrs. Jones for allowing me to take part in their wonderful celebration. I have a lot to be thankful for, and everyday that passes I realize this more and more.

Associated Press
COLUMBIA, S.C. -- Steve Spurrier was hired at South Carolina on Tuesday after the school trustees' executive board approved a seven-year deal worth $1.25 million a season for the former Florida coach.
Spurrier, who replaces the retiring Lou Holtz, returns to college football after a three-year absence. He was coach of the Washington Redskins for two seasons after leaving Florida, going 12-20 before resigning.
Spurrier won the 1996 national championship and six Southeastern Conference titles while with the Gators, and also went 10-0 against the Gamecocks.
The ol' ball coach met with the team Tuesday morning. Players said Spurrier told them he wanted to bring fun back to the game.
Athletic director Mike McGee presented details of the contract to the trustees.
"Maybe we're prejudiced now for Steve Spurrier," McGee said. "That wasn't always the case."
Spurrier's hiring had been expected for nearly a week.
After the recent firing of Ron Zook, there was much speculation that Spurrier would return to Florida next season. However, Spurrier pulled out of the running, saying 12 years at one school was probably enough.
Next season, Florida is scheduled to play at South Carolina on Nov. 12.
Spurrier, 59, went 20-13-1 in three seasons at Duke before taking over at Florida, his alma mater, in 1990. He posted 122 victories over 12 seasons, tormented opponents with his offensive flair and witty one-liners, and departed with the best winning percentage in league history.
Holtz, 67, kicked things off Monday, on one of the strangest days in South Carolina football history. Holtz made official what he hinted about for weeks, and retired after 33 seasons.
Then came the news that South Carolina and rival Clemson, both 6-5, would forego bowl bids because of a brawl late in the Tigers' 29-7 victory Saturday.

Holy Crap, we're all going to die.

(AP):President Bush has selected Condoleezza Rice, his national security adviser and trusted confidant, to replace Colin Powell as secretary of state, officials said Monday, in a major shakeup of the president's national security team. Three other Cabinet secretaries also resigned. Powell, a retired four-star general who often clashed on Iraq and other foreign policy issues with more hawkish members of Bush's administration, said he was returning to private life once his successor was in place.

This woman is an embarrassment to our country. So let's have her represent us to the rest of the world. We're doomed.

Is it Thanksgiving yet?????????

Thursday, November 04, 2004

Made it back from DC Tuesday night. We had a pretty good time, and I got to meet Jasmine's parents. They were very hospitable and I look forward to going back for Thanksgiving. Every day with Jasmine I fall more and more in love with her. She's smart, beautiful, and everything I could ever ask for.
My harness for the Neon is finally out of the donor car, and will be here as soon as I can afford to send the guy some money. I can't wait to get it back to normal. It's still getting sold as soon as it's fixed, and I'm still planning to get David's bike.
Jas and I are going Friday to buy her a snake in G-Vegas. It'll live with Francine, but it will be hers. I'm not quite ready to replace Hampton yet.

"Where have you been,
I've looked for you forever,
and a day.
Where have you been,
I'm just not myself
when you're away."
