Once upon a time, not so long ago,
A young man lived only for himself
and the pride and pleasure of life.
He took all that he wanted
and gave nothing but pain.
He broke some hearts and ruined lives
and messed up his own again.
He lived for only pleasure
and his own personal gain.
He cared for no one but himself
until everything changed.
Several years passed by
and he grew more and more.
He became a valued man of God
and repented for his ways.
But no matter what he did or said,
he couldn't forget his past.
The weight of guilt held him down,
and he couldn't forgive himself.
He prayed to God for forgiveness of sins
over and over again.
And then one day his friend came by
and this is what she said.
"It's true, I don't know who you were,
but I know who you are today,
Some might not agree with me,
but this is what I think,
That hidden somewhere inside of you
is a beauty others only dream.
Few things are a beautiful
as this beauty that you have.
in your heart.
